Compliance Manager
Level: VP
Client: Hong Kong-Corporate
Location: Hong Kong
You will:
Drive the implementation and ongoing oversight of the organisation’s Compliance Framework across the organisation’s business units for the key legal and regulatory compliance subject matters:anti-money laundering, anti- bribery, fire safety, dangerous goods, and racing division compliance as they relate to the organisation’s Hong Kong activities
Assess and review the business units’ operations and processes to identify legal and regulatory requirements for the designated compliance areas
Ensure identified key obligations which govern the organisation’s activities are captured and communicated to all relevant business units
Provide direct support to the business units in their mapping of identified applicable legal and regulatory compliance requirements to the business units’ operations to develop Compliance Obligations Registers
Provide guidance and support to the business unit(s) management in the design and development of first line compliance plans and activities
Collaborate closely with business units in developing and documenting controls and related SOPs to ensure compliance with the organisation’s compliance framework.
You should have:
Degree holder in law, business or other related disciplines.
Minimum 10-15 years of experience in legal and compliance department of a corporate or a consulting firm
with experience in compliance assessing risk and business process mapping.
Ability to understand and analyse Legal & Regulatory requirements and communicate obligations to business units’ staff and management
Excellent analytical skills and in using Excel for conducting analysis
Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in Chinese and English
Possess commercial acumen, a creative thinker who can develop out commercial solutions that also
manage the Club’s compliance exposure
A highly motivated self-starter with ability to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and
deadlines, and able to trouble-shoot problems independently
Possess strong interpersonal skills and able to analyse, assess complex issues and communicate them in
simplistic terms.
