The Job
You will:
Identifying and minimising potential threats to racing integrity through:
Conducting intelligence projects aimed at identifying threats, both internal and external, to racing
integrity.
Collating and analysing information/data/intelligence.
Conducting interviews with relevant personnel as necessary with effective communication skills.
Reporting findings of data analysis with recommendations regarding threats to integrity via compiling
tactical and strategic intelligence reports.
Proactively engage in intelligence gathering and analysis as directed by management with a view to collecting racing integrity threat intelligence from a variety of sources such as:
Informants
Previous investigations/intelligence projects
Legal sources
Open source information (e.g., media, internet, etc.)
Information storage and retrieval systems
Commercial intelligence provider(s)
Managing the Security & Integrity Department Tactical Support Team (TST) of part-time Investigators engaged in intelligence-led operations with a view to detecting criminal related interference and threats to racing, as well as misconduct by employees and racing licensed persons.
Manage intelligence collation and the related due diligence of racing license persons to ensure the provision of accurate vetting reports regarding Trainers and Jockeys to the Executive Director of Racing. Partner in the conduct of that due diligence with the Security & Integrity Due Diligence Manager.
Provide intelligence support to the racing integrity related investigations conducted by the Senior Manager Security & Integrity Assurance.
Undertake other duties assigned by DSI and/or EMRSIA
About You
You should have:
A bachelor degree in any discipline or other tertiary education
Having high level of professional and personal integrity to handle sensitive and confidential information which
the incumbent would be constantly exposed to
Is trustworthy, dependable, responsible and accountable.
Ability to:
Plan and organise deployment, measures and contingency for the events of the organisation requiring TST involvement.
Apply analytical thinking in daily work, and conduct preliminary investigation if required.
Make timely and sound decisions consistent with available facts, constraints and probable consequences.
With good interpersonal skills including good communication skills and able to anticipate and resolve
disagreements, complaints and confrontations as well as to lead, guide and motivate subordinates on
performing daily work.
Capable of delivering effective communications and quality presentations to senior management in relation
to operational planning and/or incident reporting both verbally and in writing.
Conducting intelligence-led operations thoroughly and expeditiously, and to produce intelligence reports for
all cases with detailed findings and sound recommendations
Reporting accurate and insightful information
Terms of Employment
