ISDA Lawyer

Level: 5 - 8 Years PQE

Background:

An exciting opportunity for an ISDA lawyer to join an institution that focuses on a range of asset classes, including cryptocurrency, as it enters its next stage of growth.

The successful candidate will be working closely with the General Counsel as they company enter new jurisdictions globally and into new product areas. This is a broad role in a growing, innovative and dynamic business where you will have the opportunity to make the role your own and add value.

A background in derivatives, clearing, capital markets, structured products or securitisation would be advantageous, together with a genuine interest in cryptocurrency.

Job Description:

• Prepare and negotiate ISDA agreements and any related credit support documents

• Liaise with clients, business units, external legal counsel, risk management and other business teams within the firm, throughout the negotiation process, including analyzing and presenting negotiation issues to relevant stakeholders

• Manage the internal approval process and maintain records of approvals in relation to all negotiations

• Liaise with custodians with respect to collateral schedules, including updating the relevant systems to reflect agreed collateral terms

• Prepare and negotiate other trading documentation including Clear Derivatives Execution Agreement, Electronic Transactions Agreement and any ancillary documentation

• Review and analyze legal documentation to determine capacity and authority to enter into OTC derivatives transactions
